If you’ve got an old boiler in your house, take note: you’re wasting money.

Yes, if you have an old style conventional boiler, more than a fifth of the money you spend on the heating and hot water is going up the chimney (or rather, out the flue).

The solution is to upgrade your boiler to a high efficiency condensing model. Condensing boilers will always have a better operating efficiency than a conventional non-condensing one because they use the heat much more efficiently. In fact, the best high efficiency condensing boilers convert more than 90% of their fuel into heat, compared to only 78% for a typical new non-condensing model.

And because they are efficient, they save you money. Installing a high efficiency condensing boiler with the right heating controls could save you up to £200 a year on your gas bill. What’s more it will significantly cut your home’s carbon output as boilers account for around 60% of domestic CO2 emissions.
