Roberts Gemini 21 DAB Radio

Roberts Gemini 21 DAB Radio

Be a DAB hand at saving energy with this 'eco-friendlier' digital radio.

The Gemini 21 is the first of a range of eco-friendly radios from Roberts that addresses the issue of DAB radios typically being power-hungry. Offering 150 hours of battery power, which is five times more than other radios on the market, you can spend more time listening to your favourite songs and less time buying batteries. And should you choose to power it from the mains, the radio runs on a reduced level of power consumption. Clever stuff.

Pros

Aside from the energy saving plus points, it looks good - coming in sliver with amber backlight or contemporary black with blue backlight – and sounds good thanks to its separate bass and treble controls and stereo speakers.

Cons

Hard to pin-point any cons as yet, there are very few reviews from consumers.

Energy saved

The battery lasts for 150 hours so doesn’t need to be replaced as frequently as other radio batteries. And when running from the mains, it does so on a reduced level of consumption. By using rechargeable batteries as well will make the environmental benefits even greater.
